About Julie
Julie has been a key advisor to Australian and international insurers for more than 30 years. Julie is admitted as a solicitor in England, Wales, and Australia.
Her experience extends to a broad range of insurance classes. She is experienced in third party insurance – including professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’, public offering of securities, management liability, public and products liability. Julie is also experienced in first party insurance – including contract works and construction risks, property and industrial special risks.
Julie regularly advises on policy coverage, coverage disputes, and defends complex litigated claims, including proceedings against insurers. She also provides advice in relation to and defends class actions.
She has acted for and against professionals including solicitors, accountants, auditors, surveyors, and construction professionals, and has experience with matters arising out of fraud, dishonesty, and associated recovery issues.
Julie is adept at utilising alternative dispute resolution to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients. Her focus is on resolving claims quickly and within her client’s commercial objectives, which she has repeatedly achieved.
Actively involved in the legal community and committed to being a leader in her field, she regularly presents on a variety of legal subjects. Julie is on the Australasian Professional Indemnity Group National Committee.
