About Michael
Michael is a specialist construction law Partner, practicing predominately in dispute resolution.
Working with principals, contractors and consultants, Michael advises on issues arising on civil, building, mechanical, electrical and mining projects throughout Australia and overseas.
Known for his results focused approach, Michael works closely with his clients to identify risks early, in order to achieve commercial outcomes and avoid protracted disputes.
In addition to his time in private practice, Michael worked in-house for a major international contractor in the Middle East. During this time, he gained an in-depth understanding of the commercial, technical and operational factors involved in delivering large and complex projects.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Master of Laws and regularly contributes to leading industry publications including the International Construction Law Review, the Building & Construction Law Journal, the Australasian Dispute Resolution Journal and the Australian Construction Law Newsletter.
Michael is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and was recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a Rising Star in Construction & Infrastructure Australia.
