Peter Dovolil specialises in insurance claims with a focus on industrial accidents, shopping centre claims, licensed premises claims and claims arising from recreational activities, acting for insurers and major corporations. In addition to this, he has conducted defences of AgriRisk public and product liability claims for a number of major national and international insurers together with advising on indemnity issues/policy interpretation of policy wordings and endorsements.
Peter has particular experience in the defence of claims arising from incidents at or about the workplace, utilising his extensive experience developed while acting for a number of years on behalf of public and private companies and numerous government agencies, including health services and the police service in their defence of personal injury claims.
His expertise extends to personal injuries claims involving labour hire employees and contractors, as well as complex multi-party contractual claims following personal injury on construction sites, as well as claims occurring in retail premises. He has represented insurers, professionals and corporations in the defence of discrimination and harassment claims, breach of contract claims, wages claims and workplace health and safety prosecutions.
